Day 714 -#33 Try 50 New Recipes


This was my lunch today.  It’s a Butternut Squash soup.  I made this a couple of weeks ago in the slow cooker and then froze it.  Having got back from holiday yesterday I thought this would be a nice, easy lunch so got it out of the freezer last night.

I’ve never tried butternut squash before, but when it was cooking it smelled amazing.  So I had high hopes!  Sadly, I’m not a BNS fan.  I didn’t *hate* it but I didn’t really like the taste at all.  It’s a real shame as BNS is a weight watcher staple item but it’s not for me 😦

Mark ate all of his so it can’t have been too bad!!


Day 673 – #33 Cook 50 new recipes

chicken & veg bake

This was my dinner this evening.  I made it up as I went along but it was bloody gorgeous.  Leftover roast chicken, carrot, onion, celery and broccoli cooked up in a gravy.  Then topped off with carrot/swede/potato mash.  Only 5PP on weight watchers and I will *definitely* be making this one again!
